Aspicore SMS Gateway message cost

We would like to send SMS messages and read the following on your site:
Aspicore SMS Gateway takes care of sending the inserted message to the
recipient via the connected GSM phone. No connection to a SMSC is required.

Does this mean that we don't have to use our operators SMSC for sending
messages? And this means that we won't be charged for our SMS messages?

The text at our site means that you don't have to have a TCP/IP or other kind of wired connection to your operator's SMSC.

Still you will be charged for the SMS messages you are sending with Aspicore SMS Gateway. You must insert a SIM card into the GSM modem that is connected to the server computer. The software uses an SMSC via the GSM modem through a wireless (cellular) connection. Your operator charges you through the SIM card.

Our solution is especially useful, when you don't otherwise have a fixed Internet connection at your server computer site. For low volume outbound traffic this may be a more cost-effective solution than alternative services for sending SMS messages. For inbound messages you won't be charged. You may need to pay to your operator a small monthly fee to keep your SIM card alive.
