I have started the project MyLiveTracker, a web application server for following GPS trackers.
The application is currently in testing phase.
The project is currently under copyright with all rights reserved.
But if there are good reasons, I will switch the project to OpenSource (Maybe it is a good idea to get support from other Developers).
The application is reachable under:
http://mlt.ath.cx oder http://skerwi.ath.cx
If you would like to be involved in the testing phase, you will find further information on the login page of MyLiveTracker.
For those who only likes to see my tracks (without using Aspicore's GSM Tracker): username and password is "guest".
Main features of MyLiveTracker:
- Support for multi user (every track belongs to one user and device). Every user can manage several devices.
- Tracks can be renamed, removed, closed and opened (users can do this only for their own tracks).
- Tracks can be private or public (e.g. the user guest is only allowed to see his own tracks or all public tracks of other users).
- Tracks can be displayed via Google Maps and Google Earth (currently without using Google Maps Api).
- Real Time Tracking is supported via Google Earth (live tracking with options: number of positions kept, update interval).
- Tracks can be downloaded as KML in a KMZ container.
- Via mobile and Aspicore GSM Tracker remote functions are supported (via send label buttons):
- Create new Track (name and release status can be specified)
- Close current Track
- Get Track Info
- Publish / Privatize Track
- Forward Emergency Call (not yet implemented)
Roadmap:
- Show cell status
- Export as GPX
- Switch to Google Maps API, maybe (because of license) to Openstreetmaps
- User and Device Management
- SOS functionalities
- Has to be decided: Switch project to Open Source (which repository, which license?)
Any feedback is welcome!
Michael.
